Bellula Wines

Bellula is a personal project born of the sunlight and generosity in the Languedoc. A partnership between Vianney Castan and JP Bourgeois, the wines draw their fruit from vineyards around Béziers within the IGP Oc, where diverse soils and Mediterranean light shape vibrant, balanced wines.
For Vianney, wine begins with the land. He works with living things, observing and adapting to the seasons. That mindset reverberates throughout the Bellula project. The wines are grounded in simplicity and common sense, guided by growers who respect their vines and farm with practical, experience-based decisions.
The result is wine without pretense, shaped by stewardship and a deep attachment to place.
Leading the winemaking is Florencia Stoppini, who shares Vianney’s vision for simple, easy-drinking wines. She has travelled the world making wine, but it is Languedoc that captured her heart. A native of Argentina, her journey has taken her through some of the world’s most renowned wine regions, including the United States, Spain, and Australia. Her global experience informs a cellar approach focused on precision, freshness, and drinkability. Stainless steel fermentations, careful extraction, and a steady hand in the cellar preserve fruit purity and energy. She describes her goal simply: wines that feel right at the table, defined by energy, freshness, and gourmandise.
Bellula invites everyone to the table. These are wines meant to be opened midweek and shared generously, wines that carry a sense of sun, warmth, and sincerity. They reflect the spirit of the Languedoc itself: vibrant, convivial, and tied to the rhythms of the land.
