Bellula
This wine is a joint venture between Vianney Castan and JP Bourgeois. Vianney owns the Château St- Jean d’Aumières, neighbor of Mas de Daumas Gassac in Gignac. The young vines come from the center of the Languedoc around the terroir of Beziers, in the Oc region. Bellula aims at expressing all the Languedoc has to share: Passion, know-how, and joie de vivre. Handcrafted wines, to be enjoyed every day with or without food, for constant gratification at a very reasonable price!
Wines from Bellula
Bellula Chardonnay, IGP d’Oc
Blend: 100% Chardonnay
Aging: 7 months in stainless steel tanks with some lees aging
This wine offers a clear golden color with an intense nose of familiar citrus and exotic passion fruit and mango. A refreshing wine, round and creamy on the palate, whose generous and fruity flavor carries out the aromatic complexity of the nose with balanced concentration. A minerally, fruity finish cleanses the palate for another sip, then another glass. A beautiful and flavorful modern white wine! Serve chilled.
Bellula Pinot Noir, IGP d’Oc
Blend: 100% Pinot Noir
Aging: 7 months in 80% stainless steel tanks and 20% French oak barrels
An intense red color and a nose packed with red fruits and spices, and a palate that elevates the nose’s aromas while keeping them as well-balanced, elegant, and fresh as classic French Pinot Noir should be. Round, very fruit-forward, this extreme value wine can be enjoyed with your everyday meals or by itself.
Bellula Rosé, IGP d’Oc
Blend: 60% Syrah, 40% Grenache
Aging: 5 months in stainless steel tanks
As striking in its pale color as it is in its fullness of flavor, Bellula’s sleek and sprightly qualities make it wildly refreshing. Inimitable Southern French aromas of wildflowers, wild red berries, and tea olive mingle with the peach, muskmelon, and thyme flavors on the light-bodied palate. It’s a subtle wine that will nevertheless transport you to the South of France. Enjoy by itself and with any light or spicy dishes. Serve at 45° F.
