Domaine Beauséjour

Domaine Beauséjour is a 20-hectare estate in Touraine, located along the slopes of the Cher River across Noyers-sur-Cher and Saint-Romain-sur-Cher. Cultivated for five generations by the Trotignon family, the domaine entered a new chapter in 2022 when it was acquired by Arnaud and Sibylle Lechat.

Today, the estate is guided with a focus on continuity, quality, and respect for its natural rhythm. With sustainable farming, a balance of traditional and modern cellar practices, and a style centered on freshness and accessibility, Domaine Beauséjour produces wines that clearly express the charm of Touraine.

Vineyards are planted along the slopes of the Cher River across Noyers-sur-Cher and Saint-Romain-sur-Cher, where a mix of clay-limestone and sandy, flinty soils defines the landscape.

Parcel-specific sites include sandy soils over clay with flint (argile à silex), contributing to wines with freshness, aromatic lift, and subtle mineral character.

Wines from Domaine Beauséjour

Domaine Beauséjour Sauvignon Blanc Les Grenettes Touraine

Blend: 100% Sauvignon Blanc
Aging: 5 to 8 months in stainless steel tanks, on its lees

Closer to Sancerre than your average Touraine Sauvignon Blanc, it’s clear from the start this is a remarkable wine. Even a slight swirl of the glass releases delicate lily, boxwood, and honeysuckle botanical notes that complement peach and lychee, not just the far more common one-note grapefruit. A deeper breath reveals all the subtleties of the grapes. Its velvety texture is shot through with well-integrated yet bracing acidity and a snap of chalky minerality that keep the wine both lively and supple. A round, full finish lingers long enough to reprise the nose’s floral aspects that serve as a foil to the luscious golden stone fruit. A natural pairing with moules marinières, a chèvre and herb omelet, or heartier salads, but equally delicious on its own.
