Alexis Pollier

Meet Alexis Pollier

Born in Fuissé in 1995, Alexis Pollier is the fifth generation in a family of dedicated winemakers from the heart of Pouilly-Fuissé. With a deep connection to his family’s winemaking legacy, Alexis took the bold step to cultivate and vinify his own vineyards at the age of twenty, embracing both tradition and innovation to craft exceptional wines.

A Legacy of Vineyards

Alexis’s vineyards span some of the most prestigious appellations in Burgundy, including Pouilly-Fuissé, Saint-Véran, Mâcon Milly-Lamartine, Mâcon-Villages, Bourgogne, and Beaujolais.

His passion for exploring these distinct terroirs allows him to craft wines that reflect the true essence of the land, combining purity, precision, and elegance in every bottle.

A Modern Approach to Winemaking

In 2019, Alexis built a state-of-the-art cellar, equipped with oak barrels and thermo-regulated vats. This modern facility enables him to fine-tune the vinification process, ensuring his wines are both balanced and expressive. His attention to detail, coupled with his hands-on approach, results in wines that are celebrated for their quality and distinctiveness.

Committed to Sustainability

What truly sets Alexis Pollier apart is his commitment to the environment. His vineyards are HVE (High Environmental Value) certified, demonstrating his dedication to sustainable farming practices. This certification reflects Alexis’s efforts to protect biodiversity, reduce environmental impact, and produce wines that are not only exceptional but also responsibly made.

By achieving HVE certification, Alexis ensures that his winemaking respects nature and preserves the integrity of his vineyards for future generations.

Alexis Pollier is also accompanied by his loyal 10 year old dog Junior, who can often be found by his side in the vineyards, sharing in the daily rhythms of winemaking life.

Pouilly-Fuissé

Blend: 100% Chardonnay
Aging: 10 months French oak; minimum 2 months bottle rest

The grapes for this Chardonnay are from seven estate parcels across Fuissé. The selection of these distinct parcels is part of how the Pollier team creates this layered Chardonnay. One that delivers minerality thanks to the limestone soils and careful oak élevage. The wine shows freshness alongside depth, with almond, toast, and subtle vanilla supporting ripe fruit.

Mâcon-Villages

Blend: 100% Chardonnay
Aging:  8 months in French oak and stainless steel.

This Burgundian Chardonnay is as bright and mineral-driven as one might expect from the limestone soils of the southern Mâconnais. Grapes grown on a hillside parcel in Igé with 30% slope and eastern exposure, the wine balances freshness and roundness. The vintage is citrusy and textured without feeling heavy.
