Château Roc Meynard

Devoted to viticulture for over three centuries, Château Roc Meynard is centered around the hill of Meynard mound, near the edge of the Fronsac appellation. The estate spans 38 contiguous hectares, with 28 hectares planted with vines, primarily producing red wines. In 2010 and 2011, 2 hectares were planted with white grape varieties to revive an ancient tradition. The white vineyard consists of half Sauvignon Blanc on sandy clay soils rich in iron and half Sémillon on clay-limestone coastal terroir. Since 2010, the collection has expanded to include two white wines, delicious blends of Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon, released in limited quantities, reconnecting with the tradition of Bordeaux white wines.

The 18th-century Belleyme map already featured a vineyard at Roc Meynard, highlighting its historic significance. The estate’s clay-limestone terroir produces distinctive Bordeaux wines with the character of neighboring Fronsac.

The vineyard extends over 28 hectares in a single block around the hillside of Meynard, fostering biodiversity through sustainable farming practices. Treating the estate as a farm, virtuous circles between culture and nature are recreated over 15 hectares spread across the entire vineyard. Roc Meynard is committed to crafting wines focused on fruitiness and freshness.
