Moonflower Wines
Moonflower Wines reflect the delicate balance between the seen and unseen. The fleeting and the enduring. Like the moonflower itself, an evening bloom that opens only under the cover of night, these wines are a reminder that beauty, wisdom, and discovery often reveal themselves in unexpected places.
This project is the only domestic collaboration for JP Bourgeois. His deep passion for Burgundy and decades of experience in the U.S. wine market naturally pointed him toward Oregon. Drawn by the region’s cool climate and its ability to produce wines of both elegance and energy, JP partnered with La Randonnée Wines and winemaker Kevin Green. Together, they created a line of wines that capture Oregon’s unique terroir through a Franco-American lens. The partnership combines JP’s Old World perspective with Kevin’s intimate knowledge of Oregon vineyards. The resulting wines are distinctly regional and universally expressive.
The name Moonflower carries a deeper meaning as well. The moonflower symbolizes illumination in darkness, fleeting beauty, and the union of opposites. Qualities that resonate with the philosophy behind the wines. Just as the flower blooms at night and fades by dawn, Moonflower Wines embody the rare and ephemeral moments of life worth savoring: a shared meal, a quiet evening, or a gathering of friends.
From the Moonflower White Blend, an aromatic, textured wine that showcases the diversity of Oregon varietals, to the Moonflower Pinot Noir, a red that balances depth with finesse, the collection reflects both the bounty of Oregon and the timeless elegance of Burgundy. Each bottle is carefully crafted, using sustainable farming and thoughtful winemaking practices that emphasize freshness, balance, and authenticity.
Moonflower Wines are a collaboration across cultures, continents, and philosophies. Wines that bloom with character and linger with meaning, much like the flower that inspired their name.

2024 Moonflower Pinot Noir
Blend: 100% Pinot Noir
Classic Oregon Pinot Noir character shines through: red cherry, and blood orange are layered with hints of herbs, rose petals, forest floor, and crushed spice. The palate isenergetic and complex, with brambly tannins, bright acidity, and a graceful balance between fruit purity and earthy complexity. The finish lingers with savory depth, and a mineral backbone.
2024 Moonflower White Blend
Blend: 35% Muscat, 22% Viognier, 22% Chardonnay, 11% Pinot Gris, 10% Sauvignon Blanc
Explosive aromatics bloom from the glass with Muscat-driven notes of orange blossom, honeysuckle, and ripe yellow peach. On the palate, the weight and elegance of Viognier and Chardonnay combine to create a lush, tropical profile. A lively backbone of acidity keeps the wine crisp and refreshing, balancing its fruit-forward character without veering into sweetness. The finish is clean, bright, and mouthwatering.
