Maison Cascavel:  The Elicio Collection

Maison Cascavel, producer of the Elicio Collection, is a small, artisanal winery in the Rhone Valley. Lead by winemaker Alexis Valette, the Cascavel team works closely with group of dedicated winegrowers. He works closely with growers at every stage. Beginning with the selection of parcels and continuing throughout the growing season, the team at Cascavel is deeply invested in every stage of the growing process. 

With the Elicio collection, Valette captures the spirit of the Rhone Valley where the rhythms of the seasons guide everything they do. The Elicio label was designed to reflect this quiet rhythm. The moon, stars, grapes, and leaves on the label reflect the wine’s connection to the rhythms of the planet. The name of the collection, “Elicio,” from the Latin word elicere, highlights how wine can “elicit” feelings, memories, and pleasure.
